Why Personal Style Matters in Business Calls

December 2, 2025

Even simple clothing choices impact how clients and partners perceive you, shaping trust, memorability, and professional success.

Why Personal Style Matters in Business Calls

This is what I usually look like on calls. Since we operate fully online, whenever I go shopping, I first think about how a t-shirt will look on calls with potential clients, vendors, partners, and friends.

I don’t really care what my t-shirt looks like when I’m outside. I usually go for simple white / grey ones - no brand logos, no wild styles.

But business calls are different. You want people to remember you weeks / months later. When you’re on calls with founders of industry-leading companies, their calendars are packed with meetings, so it’s important to stand out.

That’s why style matters so much. It’s never just about what you say. It’s about how you say it. The way you present yourself directly impacts how fast you can move your company’s revenue forward.
