Google & Yahoo Email Regulations — June 1 Compliance Deadline

March 19, 2025

Email senders must ensure DKIM, SPF, and DMARC alignment to avoid rejections as Google and Yahoo enforcement increases.

Google & Yahoo Email Regulations — June 1 Compliance Deadline

Google/Yahoo regulations: 6/01 deadline.

Ok, so here we are approaching June 1st.Tomorrow is the deadline by which all email senders must have their email traffic fully aligned with sending infrastructure to prevent it from being rejected due to non-compliance.

Initially, Google reported that starting April 1st, 20% of non-compliant email traffic would be blocked and that the "rejection will be gradual". I expect we'll now see many more bounce-back notifications with 4.7.xx error codes.

So a heads-up for everyone who hasn't done that yet - check your DMARC reports for the last 35 days and ensure all outbound email traffic is DKIM/SPF aligned.

And if you're still v=DMARC1; p=none; at least add the RUA tag with an email address under your domain name to be able to receive reports.

If you decide to route reports to another domain, the EDV record for that domain is your solution.
