Email traffic volume tip.

Wanted to share some advice on how best to proceed with high-volume campaigns for those who's never done that before.

1. It's crucial to avoid sudden spikes and drops in email volume originating from your domain.

2. If you always send around 2k emails per week, don't try to send 15k in the next campaign without prior "warmup".

This is what your campaign looks like from the email servers standpoint:

- You're a nice sender, you engage, and never spam;

- Then, an enormous volume of emails is suddenly being sent, which isn’t typical for your server;

- This unusual spike triggers email security filters;

- The filters suggest that your email server might have been compromised by scammers;

- This leads to emails being filtered into the junk or being rejected, as a precaution to protect recipients from a potential phishing attack.

Takeaway:

Warm up your email server and the infrastructure through which your emails will be sent. This establishes that you are the same legitimate sender, but now with increased traffic volume.

And don’t be in a hurry with emailing. Never.
